A brief hours session down the very low river this afternoon. resulted in a couple of knocks on the luncheon meat bait and this little scrapper of 2lb 6oz, which had to un-ceremoniously hauled in by hand after my reel managed to jam solid during the fight. Tuesday, 14 June 2011. And I thought my boat was big! Well, what would you say if someone offered you the chance to troll from Ft Lauderdale, FL to Hilton Head, SC? My two older sons and I had an opportunity to travel on a 68' Hatteras from Ft. Lauderdale, FL to Hilton Head, SC. Working hard for an Illinois lifer. Tapole Madtom (Noturus gyrinus). Brindled Madtom (Noturus miurus) - new hook and line species #242. The brindled madtoms had a lot of variation in terms of color and patterning. Some were dark, some were pale, and others were yellow. They were fun to catch. Eastern Sand Darter (Ammocrypta pellucida).
