The Lemon Stand
http://lemonademadedaily.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
The Turkey. A Remembrance. I often find scraps of paper I've used to write down snippets of conversation I want to blog about. This is one example from Thanksgiving. (If you want something in a timely manner around here, I'm afraid you'll have to get yourself a timex). Husband: "Do we want a fresh turkey from Deimond Farm or from the grocery store? Me: "I'd prefer the fresh turkey if we can afford it. Free range, grain fed turkeys are expensive, but worth it.". Husband: "Fresh turkey it is then.". So her...

You have reached the Emergency Stress Relief Hotline,. F the cause of your distress is due to an incident you are responsible for, please press 5 and you will be re-enrolled in a Kinde...

When catapults are outlawed, only outlaws will have catapults. Catapultam habeo. Nisi pecuniam omnem mihi dabis, ad caput tuum saxum immane mittam. I have a catapult. Give me all the money, or I will fling an enormous rock at your head. Have a Happy Monday! Scribbled by Paulette Smith. The Lemon Stand Vernacular.

Quilting. The Other Winter Sport. I once got my Mother-in-law a sign that said, "Quilting, the other winter sport" and she laughed and said it was true. Now I have a sign that says the same thing and hangs in my sewing room. Oh, how I wish I could sew. QOTD: "Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face.". Scribbled by Paulette Smith. Warning Label (you can't say you were not warned): Fabric Whispering. For The Man In The House. (Not Mine Though). 8216; from Sweet Charity. One of the sk...

I think that WWII is depressing and that humans are horrible and people should just go eat ice cream, cookies, cake, candy and drink tea and coffee. Mostly tea though. There is no trouble so great or grave that cannot be much diminished by a nice cup of tea.". Scribbled by Paulette Smith. Warning Label (you can't say you were not warned): Education. Out Of The Mouths Of Babes. Are they just talking and sewing or sizing up the local supply of new zombie recruits? Seriously, I don't think I'd be a good can...

A Shoebox In The Guggenheim And The Little Green Monster. Rachel had to do a school project that included having to create a diorama in a shoebox. Like so many other things of an artistic nature, she just 'threw it together'. After the project had been graded, her shoebox came home and ended up on the back of one of our benches in the kitchen. They'd look realistic.". Scribbled by Paulette Smith. Warning Label (you can't say you were not warned): Family Conversations. My Husbands Thought Process. Save me...

The Seven Dwarves Of PMS. OK, This was obviously meant for those unfortunate souls experiencing menopause. I am not looking forward to menopause, despite anything my family might say to the contrary. Anyway the rest of the descriptions fits our family perfectly so I'm posting it anyway with a small correction. QOTD: "Do you know why they call it 'PMS'? Because Mad Cow Disease was already taken.". Scribbled by Paulette Smith. Warning Label (you can't say you were not warned): Humor. Shades Of Lemonade Past.

It's hard to believe that the 35th Anniversary Edition of this wonderful book is now being sold. As an entry for The Giving Book Club. By Shel Silverstein is a must. Some might disagree since it is rather poignant, but it's lessons are worth learning. If you've never 'read'. It (especially to a child) it starts out with, "Once there was a tree.and she loved a little boy.". It's a book worth adding to your Lemonade Shelf. Scribbled by Paulette Smith. The Giving Book Club.
