Shurikn's Blog: November 2014
http://otakushurikn.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 9, 2014. Today (and yesterday) in Tachikawa, a matsuri was held. It's a pretty normal matsuri, actually not so interesting compared top other Japanese matsuri I've been, maybe it was because of the temperature, I don't know. It's a matsuri so I had to buy Yakisoba! Anyway, in parallel to this matsuri, a anime rally was organized, where you have to walk all around town to get cards from participating shops, if you get 7 or more, you get a special 2015 Railgun Calendar. Look at the date.

Shurikn's Blog: Innocence of children
http://otakushurikn.blogspot.com/2015/06/innocence-of-children.html
Saturday, June 6, 2015. I was hit by the cute innocence of children earlier today. I teach English to some kids in Japan, and 2 of them (twins) are taking their class at the same time. The girl started singing some song at some point which was sounding like "do you like 3, do you like 2". I have no idea what that song was, but I took the opportunity to teach them about what "do you like" means. With some examples, do you like pink? Do you like apples? And they made their own example. Shurikn's Blog: Hatsumode at Washinomiya Shrine
http://otakushurikn.blogspot.com/2015/01/hatsumode-at-washinomiya-shrine.html
Thursday, January 1, 2015. Hatsumode at Washinomiya Shrine. First, Happy New Year everyone! Did you all take good resolutions for 2015? Mine is to continue working on the one I had set for myself in 2014. Today for the first time I did Hatsumode. To know more about it, go read the wiki article linked or google it, but I'll give a simple explanation here. Hatsumode is the first visit of the Shrine of the year. It is usually done in the first 3 days of the year, and is an important japanese tradition.

Shurikn's Blog: February 2015
http://otakushurikn.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 15, 2015. Today I went to the special Sabagebu event "ゲスかわ☆ガールズ JAPAN TOUR 2015 FINAL". This was unplanned. My superior at work got sick and had tickets for both of today's events, so he gave them to me. It's really sad for him that he couldn't go, because this event was fucking awesome. This event was one of the greatest event I've been to in Japan. The questions led to pretty funny answers, and I think I was able to get like 80% of what was said. The most surprising one was Urara's sei...

Monday, June 23, 2014. Diversity bullshit (please read before complaining about the title). This will be a really different piece from what you can usually read on my blog, so if you're not interested in this topic, please just ignore it. Picture not really related:. And nothing is wrong with the world. I'll give a couple examples to indicate how this works in real life, but I'll start with a "imaginary perfectly balanced world" example. This perfect world company (not so perfect since 150 person sucked)...

Shurikn's Blog: September 2014
http://otakushurikn.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 8, 2014. Last Sunday was Hajisai. Hajisai is a matsuri in Washimiya. This festival was probably the most fun festival I've ever been to. It was so great to see a usually really calm city like Washinomiya being so full of people and so lively. First a little lesson for those who don't know about either Japanese matsuri/culture or about wishinomiya. Matsuri: A matsuri is a festival, I've talked about that am lot in the past. First thing I did was get it in the morning. Also because it was...

Shurikn's Blog: April 2014
http://otakushurikn.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Of course it wasn't true. As you may all have guessed, my last post was an April's fool day post, I'm not going back to Canada! Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Once again, sorry for the lack of updates. I guess it's because I'm starting to live more of a normal life here, I don't feel like I have anything interesting to write here. The only interesting thing that happened lately is that a friend from Quebec came to Japan, so we went to eat Shabu-Shabu together and went to Karaoke.
