A year of discovery. Colca Canyon, Peru – by Colin. There were a handful of small guesthouses with swimming pools that were fed by the natural spring water. When we arrived to our guesthouse our guide told us to choose a room. We chose one with three beds, inside they supplied you with a candle because there was no electricity. At dinner since they didn’t have electricity we ate under candlelight. Chickens enjoying the quinoa. Pink peppercorns, Yum! Our guide preparing a prickly pear for us to taste.
